London Gardens Trust London Parks and Gardens Raffle 2023 Rules
General Rules
- This Raffle is only open to residents of Great Britain and those residing in Northern Ireland over the age of 18 (this excludes Isle of Man, Channel Islands and BFPO addresses according to Gambling Act 2005 regulations)
- No tickets can be sold to, on behalf of, or for a person under the age of 18 years
- The cost of each entry is £5. Players may purchase more than one entry, and payment must be in advance
- Entry to the Raffle is not to open employees of London Gardens Trust or anyone directly connected or responsible for running the draw.
- If a ticket is sold unknowingly to, on behalf of, or for a person under the age of 18 they will be exempt from the raffle and will forfeit their prize and the stake will be returned
- All proceeds from this raffle will be used for the charitable purposes of London Gardens Trust
- The prizes for the Raffle are 1st Prize £500 Cash sponsored by London Square, 2nd Prize A night for two at the Mantis Draycott Hotel with tickets to Chelsea Physic Garden (date to be arranged), 3rd Prize Afternoon Tea for two at The Goring Hotel (date to be arranged), 4th Prize A tour of the Coutts rooftop garden for two (to be taken May-September 2023), 5th Prize A summer tour, for one hour for four people, of The Regent's Park Formal Gardens with Park Manager, 6th Prize Hotbin Composter delivered to your garden, 7th Prize A traditional painting session at Duck Island Cottage (date to be arranged), 8th Prize A creative art session to make collage at Duck Island Cottage (date to be arranged), 9th Prize Cream tea at Duck Island Cottage (date to be arranged), 10th Prize Bespoke park or garden illustration by Rosie Ryott, 11th Prize Wild Mushroon Foray with Peter Sibley (afternoon session for two), 12th Prize One to one cold water dip with Kirsty Harper, 13th Prize Bespoke plant-based design item of silver jewellery, 14th Prize Strawberry Moon, enamel on copper nature-inspired artwork, by Ann Gover (framed 34x29cm), 15th Prize A copy of English Garden Eccentrics by Todd Longstaffe-Gowan, 16th Prize A signed copy of Green Lewisham by Candy Blackham. There are no alternatives to any prize
- The draw will be conducted by utilising a Random Number Generator that has been tested and approved by an independent, Gambling Commission approved, third party test house. The results of the draw are final
- Based upon the number of entries in our raffle during 2021 the average the chance of winning a prize for a single ticket is approximately 1 in 217
- Of the £4995 received in ticket sales in the 2021 Raffle 2021, just 30% went on expenses, 10% on prizes and a fantastic 60% came back to us to fund our work
- Entries must be received by 2 February 2023
- Late entries will be treated as donations
- The draw will be held on 6 February 2023
- Winners will be notified by post, email or telephone no later than two weeks after the draw date. Please keep your ticket number as proof of purchase
- A list of winners will also be published on the website within two weeks of the draw date. These will only be in summary, for example Mrs Smith from Berkshire
- Winners may be asked to take part in London Gardens Trust PR and promotional activity
- If a prize is unclaimed after reasonable efforts have been made by London Gardens Trust to contact the winner, then London Gardens Trust will be entitled to dispose of the prize as it thinks fit. The winner has one month after notification to claim the prize

Online entries
- To enter the online raffle an entrant must self-certify that they are the required age to play. A confirmation email will be sent to the entrant confirming their numbers in the draw and thanking them for their participation. Random age verification checks are carried out at regular intervals. If an entrant is found to be under the required age their payment will be returned and they will not be entered into the draw
- Entries must not be bought on behalf of somebody else
- In order to promote responsible gambling, it is recommended that no more than 20 chances are to be purchased per person for the Raffle
- Material changes to this raffle are not predicted to happen, but in the event that this occurs you will be notified by email 14 days in advance of any changes
