Sightsavers works in more than 30 countries in Africa and Asia to eliminate avoidable blindness and promote the rights of people with disabilities.
Our vision is of a world where no one is blind from avoidable causes, and where people with disabilities participate equally in society. With the help of our partners, we distribute treatments to prevent disease, carry out operations and eye examinations, fight for disability rights and improve health services so they are sustainable in the future.
How playing the raffle makes a difference
Trachoma is a bacterial eye infection that feels like sandpaper scraping against your eyes and if it is left untreated it can lead to irreversible blindness. With the help of amazing supporters like you we can give more communities access to the treatment and surgery needed to stop their suffering. We are determined to eliminate this disease in all the countries where we work by 2025, to ensure that future generations will not lose their sight in this painful way.
