Steeped in history and widely believed to be the birthplace of driven game shooting, Holkham is set within one of North Norfolk’s most remarkable landscapes. It is among the finest shoots in the country, and one that takes enormous pride in its outstanding conservation practices.
The shoot is laid out over 16,000 of the estate’s 25,000 acres, and the winner and their guests will shoot six drives with a mixture of pheasant and red-legged partridge, and a combination of wild and released game. Lunch will be served in The Temple, a striking Palladian folly, and on completion of shooting tea will be available in the Hall.
The shoot will take place on a date to be mutually agreed during the 2027 / 2028 season, and we are enormously grateful to the Earl of Leicester for so generously donating this 175-bird day to the Countryside Alliance.
