Help a veteran make a positive start to 2026 too. Every time you enter one of our Poppy Raffles, you support serving and ex-serving personnel like Rudi. Rudi served eight years with the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, including postings overseas and six tours in Northern Ireland during the Troubles, where he lost several friends. Decades after leaving the Army, unresolved trauma led to serious mental health and financial difficulties, and support from the Royal British Legion helped him secure a PTSD diagnosis and specialist treatment. In gratitude, Rudi has spent 23 years volunteering for the Poppy Appeal, raising over £880,000 for the RBL.
