This Raffle is only open to residents of the UK over the age of 18 (this excludes Isle of Man, Channel Islands and BFPO addresses according to Gambling Act 2005 regulations)
No tickets can be sold to, on behalf of, or for a person under the age of 18 years
The cost of each entry is £1. Players may purchase more than one entry, and payment must be in advance
If a ticket is sold unknowingly to, on behalf of, or for a person under the age of 18 he/she will be exempt from the raffle and will forfeit his/her prize and the stake will be returned
All profits from the Christmas Raffle go to Sense. Details of the work of Sense can be found on our main charity website https://www.sense.org.uk/
The prizes for the Sense Christmas Raffle are 1st £4,000, 2nd £500, 3rd £250, Runners up 10 x £50. Runners up 10 x Teddy Sense mascot. Teddy Sense mascot: prize will be supplied wearing a white t-shirt displaying the Sense logo.The charity may make changes to the prizes from time to time. There are no alternatives to any prize
The Christmas Raffle Draw will be conducted on 15 December 2022. The draw will be conducted by utilising a Random Number Generator that has been tested and approved by an independent, Gambling Commission third party test house. The results of the draw are final
Based upon the number of entries in our 2021 Raffles, the chance of winning a prize for a single ticket was 1 in 2008.
From the £184,776.00 income of all tickets sold in the raffle in 2021, just 28.64% went on expenses, 11.37% on prizes and a fantastic 59.99% came back to Sense to fund our important work..
Postal entries must be received by 8 December 2022. The Online close date is 13 December 2022.
Late entries will be treated as donations.
Winners will be notified in writing and prizes will be sent within three weeks. Raffle winners will be sent their winnings by cheque in the post once contact has been made. Please keep your ticket number as proof of purchase.
A list of winning numbers will also be published here within two weeks of the draw date.
Winners may be asked to take part in Sense PR and promotional activity.
Sense will endeavour to contact winners by telephone, and then in writing. If no contact is made, the unclaimed prize is held until the next raffle opens. Once this deadline has passed and a new raffle is open, the unclaimed prize may be treated as Sense sees fit, and it may be returned to the raffle fund.

Sense operates a Fundraising complaints process. If you have complaint you can fill in this form or ring our Supporter Services team on 0300 330 9267. If you are unhappy with the way a complaint is resolved you can contact the Independent Betting Adjudication Service (IBAS). IBAS acts as an impartial adjudicator on disputes that arise between betting/gambling operators and their customers.
Sense accepts no responsibility for raffle tickets which are lost, damaged, illegible, or from which the prize-winner cannot be identified, or for any technical failure or event which may cause the competition to be disrupted or corrupted. No responsibility is taken for raffle tickets and payment lost, delayed, or damaged in the post and proof of posting will not be accepted as proof of receipt. Sense accepts no responsibility if chosen method of payment is cancelled in error.
Sense reserves the right to disqualify any entry at their absolute discretion.
To enter the online raffle an entrant must self-certify that they are the required age to play. A confirmation email will be sent to the entrant confirming their numbers in the draw and thanking them for their participation. Random age verification checks are carried out at regular intervals. If an entrant is found to be under the required age their payment will be returned and they will not be entered into the draw
Entries must not be bought on behalf of somebody else.
In order to promote responsible gambling, it is recommended that no more than 60 chances are to be purchased per person for the Christmas Raffle.
Material changes to this raffle are not predicted to happen, but in the event that this occurs you will be notified by email 14 days in advance of any changes.
Self Exclusion: On request we will put a block on supporters’ records to exclude themselves from our raffle mailings. This block will remain unless we are asked by the individual to remove it.
